Exempt Salary / Executive Lead the effective management of all the functional areas to maximize financial performance while upholding quality standards and maximizing levels of guest satisfaction.
Direct the maximization of room revenue by anticipation of market shifts, development and monitoring of annual business and marketing plans, and participating in appropriate national marketing efforts.
Develop and assure achievement of resort revenues and profits, utilizing P&L management, forecasting, and revenue management.
Ensure the development of a realistic and attainable strategic business plan that defines operational goals and profitability objectives.
Coordinate capital improvement projects to maintain/upgrade quality standards and property image, and to protect assets from neglect, damage or deterioration.
Direct, manage, train, and counsel the sales, operations and revenue management staff.
Actively participate in sales presentations, property tours and owners' meetings.
Ensure Kingwood initiatives are implemented to meet or exceed team members, guest and financial expectations.
Select, develop, and retain a diverse leadership team capable of delivering the expected performance contributions and with growth potential.
Continuously promotes occupancy, revenue per available/occupied room, and market share growth to ensure the financial health of the property.
Ensure the property is compliant in all departments, growing the business year over year.
Oversee the annual operating budget to achieve or exceed budget expectations for the property.
Drive the optimum delivery of Food & Beverage options on property, and revenue based upon established resort standards.
Build key relationships in the local community and act as the voice of ownership in the market.
Work closely with and effectively communicate with Kingwood President of Ops regarding updates on key resort operation issues, challenges, strategies and tactical actions.
Coach and develop leaders to exceed performance expectations.
The ideal candidate must possess the following experience and attributes to demonstrate they can perform the essential functions of the job:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Hotel/Restaurant or Business Administration, or equivalent education/experience.
Minimum of 3 years resort management experience as well as experience leading leaders required.
Experience in sales and revenue management is preferred.
Strong business communication skills verbal and written.
Strong presentation skills and ability to lead team at leadership and hourly level.
Strong computer skills in Microsoft Suite and basic computational ability.
Knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
Must possess high work ethic and self-initiative.
Commitment and professionalism in meeting the challenges and pressures of a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation is required.
Display a professional demeanor and image at all times.
Able to maintain calm and professional demeanor in sometimes high-pressure situations.
Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions.
Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff, and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times.
Ability to converse calmly with upset team members and guests in intense emotional situations.
Ability to participate in and lead departmental team meetings.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duies demand.
